The Plot Thickens
Maureen Reagan was alive then. She was charming and witty. Then it was just comedy. A way of blowing off steam. The atmosphere was jovial and it was fun. She stood in for Tom Snyder once in a while on the talk radio show. She also took my talk radio call. (Refering to Rush Limbaugh and his "gurgling cod" comedy skit) ... I began, "Can you tell hurry up and go to hell bimbo to stop gurgling his cod. He is giving me a headache, and a mind is a terrible thing to waste." She knew what I meant, and she laughed it off and just said, "And a minute of airtime is too much for you to waste." Rush Limbaugh's popular talk radio show was also hosted on WLS Talk Radio out of Chicago which also hosted Tom Snyder Talk Radio. Limbaugh's program would start around noon Chicago time while Snyder's show aired around midnight Chicago time. I would call in live to the stations, and then also hear myself on the re-broadcast later in the day on WLS Chicago. to be continued momentarily ... Stumble It! |
