Special Christmas Market at Ruedesheim Germany
Ruedesheim's "Drosselgasse" is considered the most famous lane in the world. Millions from all over have passed through here.
Lined with wine bars, bistros and restaurants, it is the epitome of the relaxed, good-spirited wine culture that the Rhine region is famous for.
There is always live-music coming from the bars, with bands starting off as early as noon. The restaurants serve local cuisine, Rhine wine is served everywhere and the party atmosphere can last well past midnight.
Cable cars take you to the highest mountain top overlooking lush vineyards.
Thousands of Americans visit here yearly, and this city with 25 centuries of history, today has a distinctive American flair - American music, bars, fast foods, barbecued ribs, English menus.
All this without losing its unique German/Rhein flavor - hearty German foods, beers, wines, oompah bands, sing along choirs, dancing, architecture, even a music box museum, and a mechanical museum.
